CCS 2027 Steam Event — Bringing Sacramento’s Indie Games to a Global Audience!

The Sacramento Developer Collective is excited to announce the return of the Capital Creative Showcase Steam Event for 2027!

Following the success of our first Steam Event in 2026, we’re expanding the event to give participating developers even more opportunities to showcase their games to players around the world!

The CCS 2027 Steam Event will run from May 7–16, 2027, alongside our in-person showcase on May 15 at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Sacramento.

What Is the CCS Steam Event?

The CCS Steam Event is an online extension of Capital Creative Showcase, bringing together participating indie games on a dedicated Steam event page.

While our in-person showcase allows attendees to play games and meet developers face-to-face, the Steam Event gives developers an opportunity to reach a much larger audience, including players who can’t attend CCS in person.

Participating developers can use the event to:

  • Increase visibility: Introduce their games to new audiences through the CCS Steam Event.
  • Grow wishlists: Encourage interested players to follow their games ahead of release.
  • Showcase playable demos: Give players the opportunity to try their games from home, if a Steam demo is available.
  • Promote released games: Bring additional attention to games that are already available on Steam.
  • Connect with a global audience: Reach players well beyond Sacramento and Northern California.

Whether your game is still in development or has already launched, we’d love to help more people discover it!

An Expanded Event for 2027!

In 2026, we introduced the CCS Steam Event for the first time, giving participating developers a new way to showcase their work beyond the physical event and the response greatly exceeded our expectations!

For 2027, we’re building on that success by significantly expanding the event’s duration. Rather than focusing exclusively on the showcase weekend, the May 7–16 event window will give developers more time to promote their games before, during, and after the in-person showcase.

Our goal is to make the CCS Steam Event an increasingly valuable opportunity for independent developers to gain exposure and build interest in their projects.

Who Can Participate?

The CCS Steam Event is open to developers who purchase an exhibitor booth or shared demo kiosk space at CCS 2027!

How to Participate

If you’re planning to exhibit at CCS 2027, you can get started by registering for a booth or shared demo kiosk space.
