DESCRIPTION:What is GGJ NEXT™? \nGGJ NEXT provides both educational opportunities to learn about game development and a yearly jam for young people age 12-17. \nThe GGJ NEXT jam aims to bring together talented young people within their school and community. It is a unique opportunity for students to learn new STEAM skills\, and improve their creative thinking and exploration in a safe space. \nThe GGJ NEXT jam will happen all over the globe based around a central theme. Over 50 locations worldwide will be hosting 1 to 5 day game jams in the month of July. Now young creators can be a part of the Global Game Jam sensation that’s been going on for over 10 years. \nPlease note! This will be a 2-day game jam from 10:00am – 6:00pm on Saturday\, July 13th & Sunday\, July 14th. Participants must be picked up no later than 6:00pm on each day. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early for pickup. \nThe game jam is open to ages 12 – 17 \nA limited amount of computer resources will be available at the location. Participants may bring their own computer or laptop. \nThis event is Free courtesy of our sponsors. Lunch will be provided for the participants on both days.
